Meet the Principal
Victoria Cooper-Jones
Victoria trained as a professional ballet dancer at the Arts Educational School and the Central School of Ballet with an added bonus of private tuition with Dame Merle Park. She has danced with the Boston Ballet, the Houston Ballet and the Ballet Nationale de Marseille under Roland Petit. She made her stage debut at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden at the tender age of 11 dancing a solo in the Opera Falstaff with the late Sir Geraint Evans. Other performances include the Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty with the late Rudolph Nureyev with the London Festival Ballet (now the English National Ballet). She is a huge advocate in giving her students every opportunity to develop, be able to express themselves in a safe environment, to improve their mental health and wellbeing and to hearing all the cheerful banter and laughter in the corridors as students prepare for their classes! She is a strong believer in the discipline and healing power of the Performing Arts which allows her students to perform and grow in confidence. A life skill that will stay with them throughout their lives, whatever path they choose to follow.
